The symptoms you've described in your American Staffordshire Terrier puppy, such as coughing, scabbing, and episodic vomiting with chunky content, along with inappropriate urination, can be indicative of several underlying health issues. At 2 months old, your puppy is at a critical stage of development and is susceptible to various infections and conditions.

Coughing in puppies can be caused by respiratory infections such as kennel cough, which is highly contagious among dogs, or it could be a sign of parasites like roundworms, which are common in young dogs. The presence of a scab could suggest a skin infection or injury, possibly from scratching due to itchiness or discomfort.

Vomiting of chunky material may indicate that your puppy has eaten something that is not agreeing with their stomach, or it could be a sign of a more serious condition such as parvovirus, especially since your puppy has not been vaccinated. Inappropriate urination could be behavioral, but in the context of these other symptoms, it could also be related to an underlying illness or infection.

Given these symptoms, it's important to ensure your puppy is kept in a clean, comfortable environment to prevent further infection or irritation of the skin. Make sure your puppy has access to fresh water at all times to prevent dehydration, especially if vomiting persists. Feed a bland diet, such as boiled chicken and rice, in small, frequent meals to help settle the stomach.

For the scab, gently clean the area with a mild antiseptic and prevent your puppy from scratching or biting at it, which can be done by using an Elizabethan collar. Keep the living area free of irritants that could trigger coughing, such as smoke or strong odors.

Watch for additional signs that would warrant immediate veterinary attention, such as persistent vomiting or diarrhea, blood in vomit or stool, difficulty breathing, extreme lethargy, or a refusal to eat or drink. These could be signs of a more serious condition requiring prompt medical intervention.

It's also crucial to begin vaccinations and parasite prevention as soon as possible to protect your puppy's health. While I understand that you are not currently using any flea and tick preventions or vaccines, these are important components of a young dog's healthcare regimen to prevent common diseases and infestations.

If you notice any worsening of symptoms or the development of new ones, such as those mentioned above, it's important to seek veterinary care immediately. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back to us! Thank you.
