Common Problems

We appreciate you reaching out to us. This is a medical emergency that requires immediate veterinary attention.

It can be difficult to determine what is causing your pet’s blood. If standard diagnostic techniques fail to identify the etiology of the problem, more intrusive diagnostic tests may be required.

Your veterinarian may advise you to deprive your pet of food and/or water for 24 hours to allow his/her intestines to heal. Following the 24-hour rest period, your pet should be fed a bland diet for three to seven days before gradually reintroducing his or her regular diet.

A bland diet consists of soft, mildly flavored foods that are low in fiber. Avoid spicy, fried, or raw foods if your pet is on a bland diet.

And did your pet get all the vaccines? There’s a possibility of Parvo virus. If it’s a parvo virus, there’s nothing you can do at home. You should go to the vet.

Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions you may have. Thank you.
