Tired. Sad looking. Inactive. No appetite. Vomited a few times

Debbi vomited 4 times since 7pm and it ended at 630 this morning. Since then she has been tired and lazy and not her hyper active self. She has no interest in any food or water. Doesn’t react to sounds and her name like she usually would

Care, Common Problems

Thank you for using our service.
It sounds like your Pomeranian, Debbi, is experiencing some serious digestive issues and may be dehydrated. It is important to address these issues as soon as possible, as they can lead to more serious problems if left untreated.

One thing you can try before going to the animal hospital is to fast Debbi for 12-24 hours and then offer small amounts of water or an electrolyte solution (such as Pedialyte) to help prevent dehydration. After the fasting period, you can try offering small amounts of a bland diet, such as boiled chicken and rice, to see if Debbi is able to keep it down.

If Debbi's symptoms persist or worsen, or if she is unable to keep down fluids or food, it is important to bring her to the animal hospital as soon as possible. The veterinarians there will be able to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of Debbi's symptoms, which may require medications or other treatments.

It is also important to monitor Debbi closely for any changes in her behavior or appetite, as these can be signs of a more serious condition.
If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to come back to us! Thank you.
