Eye is very swollen and he can’t keep it open and drooling so much

Swelling in your dog's eye, especially when accompanied by excessive drooling, can indeed be concerning. The swelling might be due to an injury, an allergic reaction, or possibly an infection. Since your dog is unable to keep the eye open, it suggests there might be discomfort or pain, which should be addressed promptly.
For the swelling, you can gently clean the area around the eye with a damp, soft cloth to remove any discharge. However, it's important to avoid using any over-the-counter eye drops unless they are specifically recommended for dogs. If you suspect an allergic reaction, try to think about any recent changes in your dog's environment or diet that could be the cause.
Excessive drooling might be related to the eye issue, especially if your dog is experiencing pain or stress. It could also indicate dental problems, nausea, or other underlying conditions. Keep an eye on your dog for any additional symptoms, such as changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels.
Since these symptoms have been present for a day, it's crucial to monitor your dog closely. If the swelling persists or worsens, or if your dog seems distressed or develops additional symptoms, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment.
