Dogs like children, require vaccinations against dangerous viral and bacterial diseases. Vaccination remains the most effective method of protecting healthy animals against infectious disease. Without proper vaccination, she can suffer very much or life can be fatally affected.
Consult with the hospital near your home where she will be vaccinated, schedule, type of vaccine, precautions, etc.
Depending on the hospital or veterinarian, there may be a difference in the order of vaccines or the number of vaccinations. The basic schedule is as follows.
6 — 8 weeks Distemper, parvovirus
10 — 12 weeks DHPP
16 — 18 weeks DHPP, rabies
12 — 16 months DHPP, rabies
There are also Cannelkov and corona-enteritis-virus vaccines. These are all common contagious diseases in dogs.
I recommend vaccinating at an animal hospital where first aid is available for side effects of the vaccine.
Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions you may have. Thank you.
