It sounds like your chihuahua is going through some distressing behavior, which can understandably be concerning for you. The symptoms you're observing, such as acting as if he's seeing things, being restless, and refusing to eat or drink, could stem from various causes. Let's explore a few possibilities and some steps you can take at home to help him:

Firstly, consider the possibility of **environmental stress or anxiety**. Even minor changes in his surroundings can sometimes trigger anxiety in dogs. To help him feel more at ease, try creating a calm and quiet space for him. Playing soft music or using a pheromone diffuser might also help to soothe his nerves.

Another possibility is **sensory overload**. Dogs can occasionally become overwhelmed by too much sensory input. Make sure his environment isn't too stimulating by reducing noise, bright lights, and any other potential stressors.

It's also important to consider potential **health issues**. Although it might be less likely given the level of concern, it's crucial to monitor him closely for any additional symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, or changes in his physical condition.

Regarding his **loss of appetite**, try offering him some bland, easily digestible food like boiled chicken and rice. It's essential to ensure he stays hydrated, so encourage him to take small sips of water.

You might also want to try some **behavioral techniques**. Engage him in gentle play or offer interactive toys to distract him from whatever is causing his distress. Sometimes, redirecting their focus can help alleviate anxiety.

Since these behaviors have been ongoing for a day and seem quite intense, if they persist or worsen, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can help rule out any medical causes and provide tailored advice for his specific situation.

If you have any further questions or need more guidance, please feel free to reach out. Thank you.
