She is just acting completely different. She sleeps in the same spot all day and doesn't greet me anymore. She usually follows me around and is very vocal but she's silent and all she does is sleep

It sounds like your cat is going through some significant changes in behavior, which can understandably be concerning. When a cat shows signs such as lethargy, loss of appetite, weight loss, and changes in bathroom habits, it may indicate underlying health issues. Let's explore a few possibilities and steps you can take at home:
Firstly, consider whether stress or anxiety might be affecting her. Changes in household members can be unsettling for cats, as they are quite sensitive to environmental shifts. To help her feel more secure, try providing a quiet and safe space where she can retreat, and maintain a consistent routine.
Another possibility is illness. The symptoms you're observing could suggest a health issue, such as an infection or a gastrointestinal problem. Keep an eye out for any additional symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, or coughing, which could provide further clues.
It's also important to ensure she stays hydrated and nourished. Make sure she has access to fresh water at all times, and try offering her favorite foods to encourage her to eat. Sometimes, warming the food slightly can make it more appealing to her.
Additionally, monitor her litter box habits closely, as changes in urination or defecation can offer insights into her health.
Given the combination and duration of these symptoms, it would be prudent to consult a veterinarian. They can conduct a thorough examination and possibly run tests to determine the cause of her behavior changes.
If you have any further questions or need more guidance, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
