It's important to understand that rabbits have very delicate skin, particularly around their ears, which are rich with blood vessels and nerves. Piercing a rabbit's ears can cause significant pain, distress, and risk of infection. Additionally, rabbits do not have the same capacity to deal with foreign objects in their skin as humans do, and introducing earrings can lead to complications such as allergic reactions, tearing, or even more serious issues like abscesses.

And rabbits are active animals, and an earring could easily get caught on something, causing injury or even tearing the ear.
