Stevie started sneezing, it wasn’t very much but it definitely escalated to him sneezing every 2 minutes. He would kind of mouth breathe before sneezing. He’s been having them for a minute now it seems like he’s stuffy up there can’t really breathe through the nose , I can’t tell if he can breathe well just through mouth but I think he can, it just sounds really stuffed up and I’m scared I’m going to lose him after I just lost my other cat 2weeks ago from old age.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your recent loss, and I understand your concern for Stevie. When cats experience sneezing and nasal congestion, it can be due to a variety of reasons such as upper respiratory infections, allergies, or environmental irritants. Since Stevie is sneezing frequently and seems to have difficulty breathing through his nose, it's important to keep a close watch on him.

There are a few steps you can take at home to help him feel more comfortable:

Firstly, using a humidifier in the room where Stevie spends most of his time can be beneficial. The added moisture in the air can help ease his nasal congestion by loosening mucus, making it easier for him to breathe.

Additionally, gently wiping Stevie's nose with a damp cloth can help clear any discharge, which should make him more comfortable.

It's also important to encourage Stevie to drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated can help thin out mucus and alleviate congestion.

Keep an eye out for any additional symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite, or discharge from his eyes. These could indicate a more serious condition that may require attention.

If Stevie's symptoms persist or worsen, or if you notice any other concerning signs, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can provide a thorough examination and determine if any specific treatment is necessary.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Thank you.
