She had a ruptured anal gland Friday night. I took her to the vet Saturday morning and the gland was flushed and she was give a shot and a 3 day supply of Onsior. She has been doing fine, the gland started scabbing about two days ago. It did scab over with hair attached. Last night, she pooped and it ripped the scab off. This morning, I woke up and there was drool where she laid and on her collar. What do I do?

It sounds like your cat is having a bit of a tough time with her anal gland issue. It's not uncommon for a scab to come off, especially in areas that experience movement or friction. Here are a few steps you can take to help her:
Firstly, it's important to keep the area clean. You can gently clean it with a warm, damp cloth to remove any debris or discharge. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could irritate her skin further.
Next, monitor the area for any signs of infection. Look out for redness, swelling, or a foul odor. If you notice any of these symptoms, it would be wise to contact your veterinarian for further advice.
If she's licking the area excessively, you might need to use an Elizabethan collar, commonly known as a cone, to prevent her from disturbing the wound further.
Regarding the drooling, it could be due to stress or discomfort. Ensure she has a comfortable and quiet place to rest. If the drooling persists or she shows other signs of distress, it might be worth checking in with your vet.
Lastly, make sure she's eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated, as this can aid in her overall recovery.
Since she's already been to the vet and received treatment, continue to monitor her condition. If you notice any worsening symptoms or if the drooling continues, it would be a good idea to consult with your vet again to ensure everything is healing properly.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
