Hi Doctor! Hope your doing good. It's me again, yesterday my cat got one week being neutered, so i wanted to ask if he's completely healed so that i can remove his collar? Also there are no infections symptoms or discharge or blood so far but yeah im here for your opinion, Thank you.
Hello! I'm glad to hear from you again. It's wonderful that your cat is showing no signs of infection, discharge, or bleeding. From the photo, the incision site appears to be healing well, which is a very positive sign.
Typically, it takes about 10-14 days for a cat to fully heal after being neutered. Since it's been a week, your cat is likely well on the way to recovery. However, it might be a good idea to keep the collar on for a few more days to ensure the incision is fully healed and to prevent any licking or scratching that could disrupt the healing process.
If the incision site continues to look clean and dry, and your cat is not showing any signs of discomfort or trying to lick the area, you can consider removing the collar after the full 10-14 days. However, if you notice any redness, swelling, or discharge, it's best to keep the collar on and consult your veterinarian.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
