It sounds like Leo might be experiencing some mild side effects from the flea shampoo, or he could simply be adjusting to his new environment. Flea shampoos can occasionally cause temporary lethargy in kittens, particularly if they are sensitive to the ingredients. Here are a few steps you can take to help Leo:

Firstly, keep a close eye on Leo's energy levels and behavior over the next couple of days. It's normal for kittens to have bursts of high activity followed by rest, but if he continues to be unusually lethargic, it might be worth investigating further.

Make sure Leo is staying hydrated and eating well. Sometimes, a lack of energy can be linked to dehydration or insufficient nutrition. Offering him some wet food might be more enticing and can also help with hydration.

Ensure that Leo has a comfortable and quiet place to rest. Stress from a new environment can impact his energy levels, so providing a calm space can aid his adjustment.

Additionally, watch for any other symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive scratching, which could indicate an adverse reaction or another issue.

If Leo's lethargy persists or if you notice any other concerning symptoms, it would be wise to consult with a veterinarian to rule out any underlying health issues. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.

It sounds like Leo's lethargy might be a temporary reaction to the flea shampoo, particularly if he's sensitive to its ingredients. It's not uncommon for kittens to have mild reactions to flea treatments, but these usually resolve on their own within a few days. It's a good sign that he still managed to play a bit, indicating he's not completely out of sorts.

If he starts to regain his usual energy and doesn't show any other concerning symptoms, he should be back to his normal self soon. However, if his lethargy continues beyond a few days or if you notice symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive scratching, I recommend taking Leo to the hospital.
