I'm sorry to hear that Bruno is experiencing seizures. Seizures in dogs can arise from a variety of causes, such as epilepsy, metabolic disorders, or even exposure to toxins. Given that Bruno has had multiple seizures in a short span of time, it's important to address this issue promptly.

I recommend having Bruno evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. They will be able to conduct diagnostic tests to identify the underlying cause and suggest an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, it would be helpful to keep a detailed record of Bruno's seizures, noting their duration and any potential triggers, as this information will be valuable for the veterinarian.

During a seizure, ensure that Bruno is in a safe environment to prevent any injuries. Keep him away from stairs, sharp objects, and other hazards. It's important not to restrain him, but you can gently guide him away from dangerous areas if necessary.

Please seek veterinary care for Bruno at your earliest convenience to ensure he receives the appropriate treatment and management for his condition. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thank you.

Thank you for your continued care and support for Bruno. I wanted to provide an update on his current medication and seek your advice on managing his seizures.

Bruno is currently on Levetiracetam, initially starting with a dose of 750 mg three times a day. However, after experiencing seizures with a 9-day gap between them, his dose was increased to 1125 mg three times a day as per your recommendation.

While we have followed this adjustment, we are concerned about the frequency of his seizures and would appreciate any advice or guidance you may have regarding additional steps we can take to manage and reduce the occurrence of his seizures.

Specifically, could you recommend a veterinary neurologist or provide any insights into additional diagnostic tests or treatments that might be helpful for Bruno?

Please let us know your thoughts, and if there’s anything else we should be

Since Bruno is still experiencing seizures despite the increased dosage, consulting with a veterinary neurologist would be a beneficial next step. A neurologist can offer specialized insights and may recommend additional diagnostic tests, such as an MRI or a cerebrospinal fluid analysis, to further investigate the underlying cause of the seizures.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to inspect him, so please understand that I can't answer that question. It's also difficult to recommend a veterinary neurologist.

If you take him to the vet, depending on his condition, the vet will suggest further testing or treatment.
