Benadryl is an antihistamine. Antihistamines relieve skin itching caused by allergies, but at the same time have the potential to suppress the normal immune response. Therefore, it is better to give the medicine after confirming that it is not a parasitic infection. I recommend that you make an appointment with your veterinarian. You can give your dog about 1 mg of Benadryl per pound of weight.
