Poop is now in trash so can’t get a picture. But there is white (kind of thick) worms in the poop. Counted at least 3. I have deworming medication but want to make sure that’s the right move

Hello, first of all, I'm sorry for the late reply. Yes, that's the right way to deal with it. However, it is recommended to feed your dog with anthelmintic that fits his weight. Generally, tapeworms can die within three to five days if they are given anthelmintic. In this process, your dog's appetite may decrease, or your dog’s stomach may swell slightly. Gas can be produced as tapeworms die in the small intestine or colon. It's a natural phenomenon, so you don't have to worry too much.
It is also recommended to feed your dog with probiotics products to improve immunity of the small and large intestine. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
