The symptoms you're observing in your Chihuahua, such as twitching around the neck, sticking out the tongue, and heavy breathing, are indeed concerning. These behaviors can sometimes be linked to stress or anxiety, particularly if there have been recent changes in your dog's environment, like moving to a new home. However, they could also be indicative of more serious issues, such as neurological problems or heart conditions, especially considering your dog's age.

Since these symptoms have been ongoing for a week and are occurring multiple times a day, it's crucial to keep a close eye on your dog's condition. At home, you can take a few steps to help:

Firstly, try to keep your dog calm and comfortable by minimizing stress and maintaining a quiet environment. It's also important to ensure your dog has access to fresh water and stays hydrated. Additionally, observe for any other symptoms, such as changes in appetite, energy levels, or coordination.

Given the persistence and nature of these symptoms, I strongly recommend seeking veterinary care as soon as possible. A veterinarian can conduct a thorough examination and possibly run tests to determine the underlying cause and provide the appropriate treatment.

If you have any further questions or need additional guidance, please feel free to reach out. Thank you.
