She ate her puppy soft food. Played around directly afterwards. Once calmed down she began to throw up. My husband and I assumed she had eaten too fast or too much and exacerbated herself playing. My husband thinks he saw mold in her food when throwing out to stop her from eating but wasn’t exactly sure it was mold.

It sounds like your puppy might have vomited because she ate too quickly or played too energetically after her meal. The yellow color in the vomit is often due to bile, which can be normal if her stomach was empty or if the food was digested quickly.

If there was mold in her food, it could potentially upset her digestive system. Here are some steps you can take to help her:

Firstly, keep a close eye on her behavior. Watch for any signs of lethargy, continued vomiting, diarrhea, or anything else unusual.

For her diet, try offering small, frequent meals instead of one large meal to help prevent overeating. Make sure her food is fresh and stored properly to avoid any mold.

Ensure she has access to fresh water at all times to keep her hydrated, especially after vomiting.

Finally, allow her to rest after meals to help prevent further vomiting.

If she continues to vomit or shows any other concerning symptoms, it would be wise to consult your veterinarian to rule out any potential issues from mold ingestion or other causes.
