Chili had a dry patch on his snout. I scraped the dry skin off thinking it would just go away but I caused a bald spot and it doesn’t seem to be growing back. The skin seems a little pink too. It doesn’t bother him but he doesn’t want me touching it.

It sounds like Chili might be dealing with some localized skin irritation or a mild infection, which could be causing the redness and hair loss. This might be due to a minor skin infection, irritation from scraping, or even an allergic reaction.
To help Chili at home, you can start by gently cleaning the affected area with a mild antiseptic solution or just warm water. It's best to avoid using any harsh chemicals or soaps that might aggravate the skin further. Additionally, try to prevent any further irritation by not touching or scraping the area, as this could delay the healing process.
Keep a close eye on the spot for any changes in size or color, or if it seems to be bothering Chili more than before. You might also consider applying a small amount of coconut oil to help with dryness, but make sure Chili doesn't lick it off excessively.
If you notice that the spot doesn't improve within a week or if it starts to worsen, it would be wise to consult with a veterinarian. They can conduct a more thorough examination and suggest specific treatments if necessary.
