It started with his left eye being squinted and swollen to where it looks like there’s a bump on that side and then I just noticed two days ago that his other side of his face was also swollen so now his whole face is like the size of a walnut and his body is kinda like slim but his left eye looks red like it’s been bleeding
It sounds like your hamster is experiencing some significant issues with facial swelling and eye problems, which can indeed be quite concerning. The symptoms you're noticing, such as swelling, redness, and squinting, might be due to an infection, an abscess, or possibly a dental issue that has affected the eye area. The fact that the swelling has spread to the entire face and your hamster appears lethargic indicates that this is a serious condition.
At home, you can gently clean around your hamster's eye with a warm, damp cloth to help remove any discharge and keep the area clean. It's also important to ensure your hamster is in a calm environment and has easy access to food and water, as their appetite might be reduced due to discomfort.
However, given the severity and persistence of these symptoms, it's crucial to have your hamster examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. A vet can provide a proper diagnosis and create a treatment plan, which may include antibiotics or other medications to address the underlying issue. Delaying treatment could lead to further complications, so I strongly recommend seeking veterinary care promptly.
