My dog just threw up what looks to be everything he ate yesterday or last night. The first picture is the first time and the second is the second time. She was fine last night and has been fine for days. We are getting ready to move across the state and just want to make advice before we take him to the vet.

I'm sorry to hear that your dog is experiencing vomiting. This can be caused by a variety of factors, such as dietary indiscretion, stress, or even motion sickness, especially with the upcoming move. Since the vomit is chunky and not bloody or black, it might be related to something your dog ate that didn't agree with them.

To help your dog feel better, you might consider the following steps:

Firstly, it's a good idea to give your dog's stomach a rest by withholding food for 12 to 24 hours. However, ensure they have access to water to prevent dehydration. After this fasting period, you can slowly reintroduce food by starting with a bland diet, such as boiled chicken and rice, in small amounts. Gradually transition back to their regular food over a few days.

Additionally, keep an eye out for any other symptoms like lethargy, diarrhea, or continued vomiting. If you notice any of these, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. Since moving can be stressful for pets, try to maintain a calm environment and stick to a routine as much as possible.

If the vomiting continues or if you observe any other concerning symptoms, it's best to visit a veterinarian to rule out any underlying issues. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Thank you.
