I just brought my 9 week old puppy home from the breeder. We rode 7 hours in the car and he did fine , he ate fine , used the bathroom fine. Now that he has spent one night at home he has vommited 3 times , had diarrhea and won’t eat

It sounds like your puppy is experiencing some digestive upset, which can be concerning, especially in such a young dog. The stress of a new environment and the long car ride could contribute to these symptoms. However, vomiting multiple times a day, diarrhea, and loss of appetite are signs that need attention.
Clear and slimy vomit often indicates that the stomach is empty, and the body is trying to expel something irritating. The diarrhea and loss of appetite could be related to stress or a change in diet, but they could also indicate an infection or other underlying issue.
Here are a few steps you can take at home:
1. Ensure your puppy stays hydrated. Offer small amounts of water frequently to prevent dehydration, which can quickly become serious in puppies.
2. Withhold food for a few hours to let the stomach settle, then try offering a bland diet like boiled chicken and rice in small amounts.
3. Monitor your puppy closely for any changes in behavior or worsening symptoms.
Given the combination of symptoms and the young age of your puppy, it's important to keep a close eye on him. If the vomiting and diarrhea persist or if you notice any lethargy or other concerning symptoms, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian to rule out any serious conditions and to ensure your puppy receives the appropriate care.
