It sounds like your kitten might be experiencing some mild respiratory irritation, possibly due to water exposure during the bath. At this young age, kittens are quite sensitive, and it's important to be cautious with bathing. Here are a few steps you can take to help your kitten feel more comfortable:

First, make sure your kitten is kept warm and dry. You can use a gentle heat source, like a warm blanket or a heating pad set on low. Just ensure there's enough space for the kitten to move away if it gets too warm.

Next, use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe away any discharge from the eyes and nose. It's important to use a clean cloth and a separate part of it for each eye to prevent any potential spread of infection.

If you have a humidifier, running it in the room where your kitten spends most of its time can be beneficial. It helps ease nasal congestion by adding moisture to the air.

Keep an eye on your kitten's behavior and appetite. If you notice any signs of lethargy, refusal to eat, or if the symptoms worsen, it might be a good idea to consult a veterinarian.

Since your kitten has a history of respiratory issues, it's important to monitor these symptoms closely. If they persist or worsen, seeking veterinary advice would be beneficial to ensure there's no underlying infection or other concerns.

Sniffy’s on the edge of passing, I don’t know what to do. I put him near his mother and he started to breathe better after he recognized her. I cleared his airway and his eyes, so he was able to see and breathe properly. I don’t have money for a vet, but I don’t want him to leave.

I'm truly sorry to hear about Sniffy's condition.

First, keep Sniffy close to his mother, as her presence seems to provide comfort and may help him feel more secure. The warmth and familiar scent can be very soothing for a kitten.

It's also important to ensure that Sniffy stays warm. You can use a soft blanket or towel to wrap him gently, but make sure he has enough room to move and isn't overheated.

If he shows signs of improvement, continue providing the supportive care.
