He got wrapped up in his leash and when I got him unwrapped he started limping and it’s gotten worse in 2 days

It sounds like your dog may have injured himself when he got tangled in his leash. Limping can result from various issues, such as a sprain, strain, or even a minor fracture. Since you've noticed that the limping has worsened over the past two days, it's crucial to take some steps at home to help him and keep a close eye on his condition.
To start, try to limit his activity to prevent further strain on the injured leg. Encourage him to rest and avoid long walks or vigorous play. Applying a cold compress to the affected area for about 10-15 minutes several times a day can help reduce any swelling or discomfort.
Take a moment to examine his paw and leg for any visible signs of injury, such as swelling, redness, or cuts. If you notice any of these signs, or if he seems to be in significant pain, it could be more than just a simple strain.
Should the limping continue to worsen or if he shows signs of severe pain, like whining or refusing to put weight on the leg, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can conduct a thorough examination and possibly take X-rays to determine the exact cause of the limping.
Keep monitoring his condition, and if you notice any other symptoms or if the limping doesn't improve, seeking professional advice would be the best course of action. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
