Oliver is throwing up more frequently and today we saw a tiny spot of blood in it. He’s drinking more water and eating some but no pills have helped his stomach and his last test showed his pancreatitis flare up gone. His blood work was all positive and they found nothing out of the ordinary. If it’s not pancreatitis anymore and there’s nothing wrong in his blood, what’s wrong? Is it something with stomach acid? What can we do. Vets just give us pain pills. That’s clearly not enough.

I'm sorry to hear that Oliver is experiencing these issues. It's understandable to be concerned given his symptoms of frequent vomiting with a spot of blood, increased water intake, and loss of appetite. Since his recent tests ruled out pancreatitis and his blood work didn't show any abnormalities, there are a few possibilities we can consider.
One potential cause could be gastrointestinal irritation or ulcers, which might explain the presence of blood in his vomit. Stomach acid could indeed be a factor, especially if there's been a change in diet or stress. Another possibility could be a foreign object or obstruction in his digestive tract, although this would typically present with other symptoms like abdominal pain or severe lethargy.
At home, you might try feeding Oliver a bland diet, such as boiled chicken and rice, in small, frequent meals to see if this helps settle his stomach. Ensure he has access to fresh water to stay hydrated, but do monitor his water intake to avoid excessive drinking, which can sometimes worsen vomiting.
Given the severity of his symptoms and the presence of blood in his vomit, I strongly recommend seeking further veterinary evaluation. It might be beneficial to discuss with your vet the possibility of conducting imaging tests like an ultrasound or X-ray to check for any underlying issues that might not have been evident in blood tests.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
