Chef is a stray cat we’ve been feeding for a few months, he’s had skin bumps however wounds and eye squinting have been showing up recently.
We’re worried since we live in Mexico, and question if it’s because of dog chasings, cat fights, accidental wounds, cold weather, or diseases.
Thank you.

It sounds like Chef is dealing with a few issues that could stem from various factors. The eye squinting and swelling might be due to infections, injuries, or irritations, while the skin bumps and wounds could result from fights, allergies, or infections. Being a stray, Chef is likely exposed to other animals and environmental factors that could contribute to these problems.
For Chef's eye issues, you can gently clean the area with a damp cloth to remove any discharge, but be sure to avoid using any human medications or eye drops. As for the skin, it's important to keep the wounds clean and watch for signs of infection, such as redness or pus.
Given that these issues have persisted for a couple of weeks and involve multiple symptoms, it would be best to have a veterinarian examine Chef. They can provide a more accurate diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment, especially considering the potential for infections or other underlying conditions.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
