I'm truly sorry to hear about the loss of Bubba's brother. The symptoms you're describing, such as bloody diarrhea, vomiting, and sudden changes in behavior and appetite, are indeed concerning, especially with the recent exposure to parvovirus. This virus is highly contagious and can be life-threatening, particularly in young puppies.

Here's what you can do right away:

Firstly, it's important to keep Bubba isolated from other dogs to prevent any potential spread of infection. Next, ensure he stays hydrated by offering small amounts of water frequently. If he refuses to drink, you might try giving him an electrolyte solution designed for pets.

Additionally, keep a close eye on his gum color and overall demeanor. Healthy gums are a positive sign, but any changes could indicate a worsening condition.

Most importantly, given the symptoms and the recent loss of his brother, I strongly recommend taking Bubba to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Parvovirus requires prompt medical intervention, and the vet can provide supportive care such as fluids and medications to help manage his symptoms.

Time is of the essence with potential parvovirus cases, so please seek veterinary care immediately. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thank you.

I hate to say it but I can’t afford to take him to the vet I’ve been giving him water with a straw but I can’t get him to eat anything…is there anything I can do for him at home
