Common Problems

I’m sorry for the late reply.
Your dog’s not-eating may be illness (enteritis, stomach ulcers, pancreatitis, addiction, etc.), pain, stress, or simple complaints. Also, your dog may not be able to eat it because him mouth hurts, such as periodontal inflammation and alveolar abscess. Give your dog delicious snacks. If he doesn’t eat snacks, there is a possibility of illness or disease.
If your pet’s loss of appetite is the result of an illness, your veterinarian may recommend a prescription diet to meet your pet’s nutritional needs while the underlying disease is treated. These diets aren’t always particularly tasty, especially if your pet is used to regular treats or human food.

In more severe cases, your veterinarian may prescribe appetite stimulants, suggest syringe-feeding a liquid diet, or insert a feeding tube.
